Combining Electrical and Thermal Design
POLYSUN SPT enables precise electrical design of PV systems through automatic inverter selection, 3D string design taking into account shading and the integration of battery storage or electric vehicles. For thermal components such as solar thermal collectors, PVT panels or heat pumps, the yield data from POLYSUN SPT can be imported into POLYSUN Designer via a CSV export – this requires an adjustment of the values (e.g. conversion from kWh to Wh) and the assignment of profiles in the photovoltaic component. The combination of the two tools thus enables the holistic design of complex energy systems, especially for residential buildings or industrial projects where electrical and thermal systems have to be simulated synchronously.
