How can I clean up corrupt persistence data?

Polysun is protected by a security mechanism to ensure compliance with our licence agreements. In rare cases, however, this leads to malfunctions. These can be, for example:

  • The software does not start due to corrupt persistence data
  • A clock tampering is reported at startup
  • Under ‘Location of the system’, ‘From map’ and the weather data option ‘Web service’ cannot be selected (greyed out)
  • Some features / options are missing in the programme

For these cases we provide a tool to make Polysun work as desired again. To use this tool, please download the file rms-repair.zip:

https://www.velasolaris.com/download/sentinel/rms-repair.zip

Then:

  • To run the tool, you need Java version 17 or higher. You can download this here: https://download.bell-sw.com/java/17.0.1+12/bellsoft-jre17.0.1+12-windows-amd64.msi
  • Unpack the archive ‘rms-repair.zip’ completely.
  • Go to the subdirectory ‘rms-repair\bin’ in the unpacked archive. Execute the file ‘rms-repair.bat’ as administrator. To do this, right-click on the file and select ‘Run as administrator’. The script will not work without administrator rights.

Polysun should now work as desired again. Otherwise, please contact our support team at info@velasolaris.com.
