Batteries
Accumulators (commonly referred to as batteries, as is done in this document) are used to store electrical energy. Polysun supports lithium, lead and redox‑flow technologies. In a PV system, batteries are used for self-consumption optimization purposes as well as in self-sustaining, off-grid applications. Furthermore, they can be coupled with intelligent operational strategies to balance out negative effects on the grid. Additionally, they are often used to enable an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) or for load peak shaving.
